Why trust this guide: written by the coaching team at Tuition2u. Tuition2u is a Singapore tuition agency connecting families with suitable home and online tutors for preschool, primary, secondary, and JC levels. They provide personalised tutor matching across various categories including part-time, full-time, and MOE teachers to suit each stud Everything below comes from what we see in our own lessons, not from theory.
We work with part-time tutors, full-time tutors, and ex or current MOE teachers. Each category suits a different need. Part-time tutors often fit flexible schedules, full-time tutors can support regular weekly routines, and MOE teachers bring classroom experience from the local education system. Our team in Singapore reviews these options with each family so the choice matches the student’s learning needs and timetable.
Part-time tutors are a practical choice for families who want focused sessions on specific topics or a few days each week. We match them by subject, level and availability.
Full-time tutors can handle more regular, structured lessons over a longer period. We look at how a student has progressed so far and what support they still need.
Families who prefer tutors with MOE teaching backgrounds can read more on our MOE tutor page for ex and current MOE teachers.
Our matching process starts with the student’s level, subject needs and schedule. We then consider whether home tuition or online tuition suits the student better. We do not claim that any single tutor is right for every student, so we discuss options with the family before confirming a match.
We cover all subjects across levels, including preparation for PSLE, O-Level and A-Level examinations. Many families look for support in specific subjects, and you can explore our dedicated pages for English tuition in Singapore for primary, secondary and O-Level students, science tuition for primary, combined and pure science, chemistry tuition for secondary, O-Level and H2 students, and physics tuition covering O-Level, JC, IB and IGCSE.
Home tuition suits students who learn better face to face at home, while online tuition offers flexibility for families with busy schedules or those located in different parts of the island. Our service is islandwide across Singapore, so we can discuss which format fits your household.
We aim to keep the process clear from the first enquiry. We explain the tutor categories, outline the matching steps and make sure you understand the format before any lessons begin. Our team is happy to answer questions about tutor backgrounds and how each category works, and we will tell you when we are not sure of a detail so you can confirm it directly with us.
